Curriculum, Unit Plans, and Lesson Plans
Below is a collection of curriculum materials, unit plans, and lesson plans that I have designed, implemented, and refined throughout my time in the Manhattanville College graduate program, as well as during my teaching and assisting experiences across a variety of school environments. These artifacts showcase my development as an educator and my dedication to creating high-quality, standards-aligned physical education instruction that supports student learning, engagement, and skill development.
Each plan demonstrates:
- Thoughtful alignment with state and national physical education standards
- Clear learning objectives and purposeful instructional design
- Inclusive practices that address diverse learner needs
- A commitment to fostering physical literacy, social-emotional growth, and lifelong wellness
Collectively, these materials represent my ongoing growth, professional readiness, and passion for delivering meaningful and developmentally appropriate PE experiences to all students.

Elementary School Curriculum
Here is a comprehensive Pre-K–5 curriculum that outlines, month by month, the units students will be taught and, week by week, the specific activities they will participate in. This curriculum also provides a clear breakdown of how instructional time is allocated, including minutes dedicated to physical activity, sedentary/wait time, and sedentary instructional time.
Volleyball Unit Plan
This unit plan is designed to help students develop the essential skills needed to confidently and effectively participate in volleyball gameplay. Throughout the unit, students will learn and refine key techniques such as bumping, setting, and various serving styles.
Soccer Lesson Plan
In this lesson, we focused on one of the most important aspects of soccer: effective defensive play. Students learn how to safely and correctly defend against offensive players and dribblers using techniques such as pressing and shadowing. These skills help build confidence, improve game awareness, and enhance overall defensive performance.
Self-Defense Lesson Plan
Below is a self-defense lesson taught through the discipline of boxing. Students learn the fundamental offensive and defensive techniques of boxing while developing coordination, cardiovascular endurance, and self-discipline. This lesson emphasizes safety, proper form, and the practical application of boxing skills for personal protection and overall fitness.
Movement Exploration Lesson Plan
Frogs and Fish PE Game
This elementary school racing game teaches students essential gross motor skills—including hopping, jumping, hinging, and more—that support their physical development. These foundational movement patterns are not only important for success in a wide range of sports but also for everyday functional activities throughout their lives.
